WBStudios Games is an independent video game studio founded in 2009 by William Benites, Founder & CEO / Creative Director, based in Turin, Piedmont 10095, Italy. The origin of WBStudios is directly connected to the identity of its founder: “W” represents William, “B” represents Benites, the surname from the founder’s maternal family, and “S” represents Studios, forming the name WBStudios. The word “Games” identifies its main field of activity: the creation, development and publishing of video games and digital entertainment projects. From its early years as an independent initiative focused on learning, programming, digital design and video game development, WBStudios Games has progressively evolved into a multidisciplinary studio focused on game development, publishing, creative direction, audiovisual production, interactive technologies and intellectual property creation. As part of this evolution, WBStudios Games maintains a creative and strategic connection with Inti Games Productions, a team and structure dedicated to video game development and production, and WCRecords Productions, a record label and platform specializing in music, audio and sound production for audiovisual and entertainment projects. These connections allow development, technology, art, audiovisual production, music and sound to be integrated within a unified creative ecosystem. Throughout its history, WBStudios Games has participated in international industry initiatives, including the Xsolla XDC Contest for LATAM Developers and the PlayStation Talents Games Camp 2022. In the latter, its project Poveglia: The Island of No Return was preselected to continue in the program's evaluation process. Poveglia: The Island of No Return is currently WBStudios Games’ flagship project and represents the studio’s most ambitious production to date. Inspired by the mysterious history of Poveglia Island in Italy, the project combines survival horror, adventure, action, exploration, narrative, audiovisual production, animation, sound and advanced game technology. Poveglia represents the studio’s first AAA-scale project and the culmination of years of creative and technological evolution, with the vision of creating original intellectual properties with international potential. It is currently available on Steam Early Access.
